To celebrate the release of The Rumble we decided to share the lyrics to each of the songs together with a few notes on the inspiration for each track.

Track #1 – Building a Wall

Written with Kyle Kemble this song nearly led to a flood at my home!! Whilst I was immersed in the developing the lyrics I left my bath running which flooded my bathroom and nearly the kitchen below. As Kyle said, this was nearly called “Building a Ceiling!!!”

Let me be clear this song has absolutely nothing to do with Donald Trump’s wall and is not a political statement!!

This is a personal song inspired by a relationship with former partner.

No sustainable good ever comes from decisions rooted from anger. Walls built to isolate do exactly that and blocking everything out is not a healthy long-term choice.

Relentless self satisfying attacks only lead to pain and eventually walls come down…

It is my belief when these walls come down we can create something positive and true.
